A two-stage expansion of the Museum's working and display space.
2026
Assessment of service provision for the construction of a new Renovation Hangar.
2027–2028
A new Renovation Hangar of 800 square metres (up to $1m), and the conversion of the existing workshop to display space.
Acquiring and conserving Bristol Freighter Mk.21 A81-1.
The Foundation is supporting the Museum's acquisition of this aircraft, which served in South Australia for 20 years at Woomera, Mallala, Maralinga and the Emu Field atomic test sites. It is one of only four that served the RAAF and the only remaining intact example in Australia. The project carries the significant costs of dismantling the aircraft, transporting it by road from Victoria to South Australia, reassembling it, and conserving it for safe public display.
